Notes: August 20, 2008 - Psalms 92 & 93

Psalm 92

  • A sabbath day song (Psalm 92:1). Do you praise God more on some days and occasions?
  • It is a good thing. When the unsaved assert that they do good, do they ever mention their praise of God? No, of course not. How could they (Psalm 92:6; 1 Corinthians 2:14)?
  • When men want to flourish like a palm tree and grow like a cedar (Psalm 92:12), they must not forget that this must be in the presence of God (Psalm 92:13), so that even in old age (Psalm 92:14) they will bring forth the fruit of praising God (Psalm 92:15).

Psalm 93

  • God’s government shall be forever.
  • God’s government has been forever.
