Save our enemies and we shall have peace

Zechariah 9

• Syrians (v. 1), Phoenicians (v. 2-4), and Philistines (v. 5-6) shall be for our God (v. 7).
• The conversion of the Gentiles will bring joy to them who see their King (Zechariah 9:9). Does anyone doubt these words speak of Christ?
• Safety is in Him and Him alone (v. 10-12).
• Though reference is made to Greece and God’s care for His people, the language overall seems best applied to later, gospel times (v. 13-17).

Zechariah 10

• Does your idol god answer prayer? Can it send rain at your request? (v. 1-3).
• The LORD will deliver His people (v. 4-12).
• They shall be mighty (v. 5-7).
• They shall increase (v. 8).
• They shall remember the LORD (v. 9).
• They shall be strengthened by the LORD (v. 12).
