Meditation Points:
- How do you hide a baby for 3 months?
- How is Moses in the basket like/unlike abandoning a child on the orphanage doorsteps?
- Have you ever done something wrong for a very good reason?
- Have your intentions for good ever been misunderstood by the very people you desired to help?
- Compare 2:18 with 3:1 and Numbers 10:29.
- Compare Moses’ finding a wife to Jacob’s.
- Does God still care for his people?

13-15: Moses wants to know God’s name.
IV. Moses given the bad news and the good (16-22)
16-17: The message that Moses is to deliver to the tribal elders of Israel
18: The elders will follow Moses’ leadership
19-20: Pharaoh will object, until God sends plagues upon Egypt
21-22: Then the Egyptians will pay Israel to leave the land
Meditation Points
- You don’t need to be in a church building to find God.
- God never burns out; why do we?
- A holy place is anywhere that God is.
- God has a long history of faithfulness to His people. We should have a long history of faithfulness to God.
- God intervenes in the affairs of men for His purposes and for the good of His people.
- Who is sufficient for the task of representing God before our families and kings?
- God is ever “I am”. There never was a time when He was not; there never shall be a time when He is not.
- The land of milk and honey, where animals and plants are fruitful.
- We often see obstacles and hesitate to obey God. Be assured that God knows all the obstacles long before we think of them. Pharaoh’s recalcitrance is not a surprise to God. God has everything under control.
