More wrong in Israel
Hosea 11
- 1-4 Israel rejected God’s love
- 5-7 God will judge the land
- 8-11 God will be merciful
- 12 Though Israel has gone away from God; Judah has walked with God
Hosea 12
- 1-2 Israel has sinned; and so has Judah
- 3-6 Ancestor Jacob walked with God. Both Israel and Judah should follow his example
- 7-14 Instead, both North and South have forsaken God
Meditation Points:
“called my son out of Egypt” (Hosea 11:1). Remember what happened after the wise men visited the Christ child in Matthew 2.
