The wages of sin and God’s mercy on sinners
Isaiah 50
- v 1-3. Israel’s sin has brought trouble upon themselves. One must not think that God is unable to save them.
- v 4-9. Is there any doubt who this One is? Isaiah 50:6.
- v 10-11. Therefore, trust in God and yourselves.
Isaiah 51
- v 1-2. Consider Abraham and Sarah as examples of faith. Read Hebrews 11 for other examples.
- v 3-8. God’s salvation is forever. Isaiah 51:6, but men are easily swayed.
- v 9-16. A prayer and a response.
- v 17-23. God’s pity upon Jerusalem.
