The Good Shepherd
Ezekiel 34
- Woe to the shepherds of Israel (v. 1-2).
- They are unfaithful in their duties toward the sheep whom God loves (v. 3-6).
- They will lose their jobs (v. 7-10).
- God will be the shepherd (v. 11-16).
- The bully sheep will be punished (v. 17-22).
- The great and good shepherd, the Messiah, the son of David, shall come (v. 23-31).
Ezekiel 35
- Edom shall be destroyed along with Judah (v. 1-4).
- Edom opposed the people of God and sought to possess their land (v. 5-11).
- Worse, Edom opposed God Himself; and they shall be punished (v. 12-15)
