Woe to the Pharisees

• They contribute to religion but they don’t live religiously (v. 42)
• They seek positions of notoriety (v. 43)
• They are spiritually dead inside (v. 44)

Woe to the Lawyers

• They require others to do what they themselves don’t do (v. 46)
• They despise and kill the messengers of God (v. 47-51)
• They hinder others from knowing God (v. 52)
